| Why would you want watercooling??? It's only any use if you OC ur PC (like mine, intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz standard, can get it to 3.4GHZ on standard cooling | |

| Well Ive dealt with water cooling and although this is an old thread Ill post this anyway for someone that is still wondering. Ive built 3 High end pc's with water cooling. Temperature drop for all 3 are about 50% (from +-80 degrees to +-40 degrees) which helps if your ambient temp in your case exceeds anything over 60. Ive built 1 rig that had HDD, GFX card and CPU socket water cooled and his ambient temps in case was 35 degrees... Now you ask why water cooling?? Over heating is not from direct temps but from heat that accumulates within the case. So your CPU can be 80+ degrees and stable but if you can keep ambient under 40 degrees your fine and no overheating in the future. What D3v01d said about over clocking does NOT factor into a water cooling argument as his PC is considered mid range to water cooling users and would be easier to cool with proper fans anyway. Safety is easy. Handle your case like you should and don't fiddle around the sockets and you'll be 100% safe. In my experience ive seen MUCH more accidents with fans that with water. Makes are very limited but XFX and Gigabyte ive dealt with and they are both very good and solid makes for different cooling solutions. Asus I would NOT recommend for water cooling unless you have bucks to spend. Any more info required or help building a high end water cooled gaming PC pm me | |

| LOL, you can stop your graphics card going to 80 by using RivaTuner to edit the auto control. My GTX275 went to 80 C , when I opened Rivatuner, it said that the fan was always at 40%, so I changed that, but unfortunately the fan gets quite loud, but now temps are +- 60 C at full load. Water cooling would be great, most of the mainstream ones are pretty safe, but you're looking at +- R3K + for a decent one with a graphics card adaptor. It does look cool though | |

| A good watercooling Kit would cost you about R800 for CPU and R700 for GPU... D3v01d, yes rivatuner is the most amazing tuning util ever and I also saved my gfx card with that. The thing is I don't have speakers loud enough to drown out the imense fan noise. With watercooling you have 0 noise and youll be much happier. I didn't say water cooling is the only way to cool a PC, the topic is water cooling so I gave my opinion | |

| Please tell me where u gna get a watercooling kit that cheap, I would love to have watercooling, but right now i'm saving for a second GTX and R3K is too much. Yeah, the fan on my gfx card also gets extremely loud, but I play with noise cancelling earphones, so it's only my bother who sits next to me who gets irritated | |

| Unfortunatley I do not work in the retailer industry anymore but we got the watercooling kits from AXiS or Rectron. Note that I haven't been in that industry for over a year and those prices were a VERY Rough estimate to indicate what I paid for it.
I have no idea what it costs now. D3v01d... If your buying a SECOND GTX and youve got this UBER pc then 3K shouldn't make you loose any sleep for water cooling as with your second GTX your heat issues will force you to either buy more fans or get W/C | |
